I woke up Sunday with a sore throat and stuffy nose. When I got up, I knew I would be at church regardless because we had a baptism scheduled, and had to reschedule it once already. But I thought that it would be a chore to be there. Boy was I wrong. I have been around the block enough times to know that when the devil does not want me to be there, being there is imperative. We had the largest Sunday school number since I’ve been at Beaverdam, and a great crowd in the worship service. My voice started to give out toward the end of my message, but I was feeling it. You fellow preachers know what I’m talking about. After a relaxing afternoon, Sunday night saw another big crowd and Patty and I hosted the youth’s SNAC. That’s
